Golden Child Sampler 1890 PDF

The moment I saw this antique sampler, I had to have it. I love cross stitch text and the Variations of text along with the other details on this sampler is beautiful. The original sampler pictured above has a verse in German which I have converted into English for my version of this sampler and it reads Still, gentle and mild, a golden child. A truly remarkable sampler from 1890

It includes a full detailed pattern. 

For colour like the original sampler, I would recommend WDW Lancaster red thread. I am stitching the sampler on 40ct paperbark linen using the gorgeous WDW Tobacco Road thread.  I would recommend 3 skeins of thread when stitching on 40ct.
